On Valentine’s Day, the void created by Kobe Bryant’s death was definitely felt by his widow Vanessa.
She posted a pic of Kobe kissing her on the cheek, writing on Instagram, “To my forever Valentine, I love you so much. Missing you so much on your favorite holiday. Te amo per sempre. Kisses to you and Gigi in heaven. Happy Valentine’s Day, my babies. With all my love, your boo-boo. ❤️.”
Her post also featured Lauryn Hill’s song “Tell Him.” The pair were fans of Hill, even attending one of her concerts in 2018 in Hollywood.
At the time, Kobe wrote on Instagram, “@vanessabryant surprised me with a date night to see my sister Lauryn Hill at The Hollywood Bowl. Loved catching up with her. My wife is winning the battle of best date night ideas.. FOR NOW."
Kobe was known for showering Vanessa with love on Valentine’s Day.
Last year, before the birth of their daughter Capri, Kobe bought flowers for Vanessa and their daughters Natalia, Gianna and Bianka. Days before, Kobe and Vanessa enjoyed a date night at Disneyland.
In 2015, Kobe took Vanessa on a romantic helicopter ride on Valentine’s Day.
The year before, Kobe shared a racy photo of Vanessa in lingerie, writing on Instagram, “#QueenMamba @ladyvb24 Celebrate the one you love #myvalentine happy valentines day to all #blessings.”
Kobe and Vanessa were only months away from celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary when he perished in a January 26 helicopter crash with their 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others.
