Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called “The Year of Health” - so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it! Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?
Earlier this month, Wilson opened up about her big goal for 2020, writing on Instagram, “2020 is going to be called ‘The Year of Health’ - so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it! Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?”
It looks like Wilson is shedding the weight and living a healthier lifestyle with the help of renowned personal trainer Jono Castano.
Jono took to Instagram to express how proud he is of Rebel’s progress. He wrote, “Friday vibes but @rebelwilson has been putting in the yards 7 days a week! Proud of you gurl ❤️.”
In one video, Rebel is focusing on her arms with a battle ropes workout.
On the same day, Rebel also shared a photo of her slimmer figure on a “midnight stroll.”
Wilson recently sat down with “Extra’s” Mark Wright to reveal how much weight she lost while working on “Cats.” Rebel explained that they kept the temperature high on set, turning her spandex bodysuit costume into its own weight-loss program.
She said, “They had to heat the set up to… 100 degrees so we could never cool down. Someone like me, I sweat a lot anyway. I lost eight pounds shooting my number… just from sweat.”
Many estimate that Rebel has lost up to 40 lbs. since 2016.
A few years ago, Wilson opened up about gaining weight for her comedy career. She told The Telegraph UK, “I was like: 'Oh. That girl's getting a lot of laughs, a lot easier than me. What is it?' Because I don't think there's much difference in talent. And I remember distinctly thinking: 'I think it's because she's fatter.' And then, I don't know if it was mega-conscious, but I thought: 'How can I get more laughs? Maybe if I was a bit fatter…' And then suddenly I was fatter, and doing comedy.”
