Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer, 29, and boyfriend Michael Lewis, 60, are taking their relationship to the next level after more than a year of dating.

Lewis popped the question to Spencer in December. A source close to Spencer told DailyMail.com, “Michael proposed to Kitty before Christmas. She’s been in Cape Town for the holidays and told her mother and the rest of the family. Michael is loved by all of them. Despite his wealth, he’s very humble and low-key.”

Lewis was previously married to Leola.

Last May, Kitty and Michael seemingly confirmed their romance by holding hands in NYC, nine months after they first sparked dating rumors.

The sighting came days after the lovebirds were seen leaving a Manhattan hotel at the same time.

Kitty is a model and the eldest daughter of Di’s brother Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, and his ex-wife Victoria Lockwood.

Michael, who is five years older than Kitty’s dad, is the owner of the Whistles fashion chain and worth about $100 million, according to DailyMail.com.

In May 2019, she told the same outlet that she didn’t feel “any rush” to have a family. She added, “I can see myself having children at some point, but I’m only in my 20s. I do have friends my age who are having children, and they are so, so, sweet, but I think everyone should do things in their own time.”

Kitty, who previously dated 48-year-old property developer Niccolo Barattieri di San Pietro, recently opened up on her love life with Harper’s Bazaar. She said, “I’ve been really lucky. I’ve always had really lovely, straightforward boyfriends. Whenever anything exciting happens in my life, or sad, the serious boyfriends I’ve had will be the first to get in touch and the first to be supportive.”

While she didn’t divulge her relationship status, she did say she liked people who were kind.
