It was date night for Alec and Hilaria Baldwin as they attended the New York Film CriticS Circle Awards. “Extra” caught up with the couple, getting the scoop on Hilaria’s upcoming birthday plans.
Alec revealed, “We are going to celebrate her birthday Saturday because her birthday was on a Monday, fresh off coming back from the holiday. The kids started school, so we went and got a cake, all the kids sang 'Happy birthday,' then Leo… Leo virtually smeared the cake all over him like it was ‘Lord of the Flies.’”
Hilaria added, “He was doing like a mud bath, it was really, great, thank god you weren’t there because I am big into parenting of letting them have that moment of exploration. Neil deGrasse Tyson said we need to let them explore more and he is an astrophysicist, so there you go.”
Alec had a message for Tyson, joking, “Neil deGrasse Tyson, you need to stay out of my living room, and how I parent my kids in terms of how much frosting they smear on their bodies.”
Hilaria laughed, saying, “When Leo is an astrophysicist…”
The actor was happy to be there to present an award to Joe Pesci for his performance in “The Irishman,” saying, “This was just like the pinnacle of his movie stardom. He doesn’t have to do anything and it’s all great.”
