Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown's Ex, Dead at 30

Three years after being found liable for former girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown's death at age 22, Nick Gordon has lost his life on New Year's Day following a reported drug overdose. He was 30.

People magazine reports Gordon's brother, Jack Walker Jr., confirmed the death, saying in a statement, "We are devastated by the loss of my beautiful brother. He leaves a void in the hearts of my family and his friends. Nick's battle in life was not an easy one. I will be forever grateful that my God afforded a small moment at the very end of Nick's life, and I was able to hold his hand as he journeyed on."

According to DailyMail.com, Gordon had a series of heart attacks after being rushed to an intensive care unit on New Year's Eve.

An "insider" told The Mail, "It's early days, but the suggestion is he was taking drugs with friends and he passed out. They drove him to the hospital, took him inside and then left him there. Whatever you think of Nick and his lifestyle, it's terribly sad that his supposed friends just dumped him and drove away."

According to the 911 call obtained by TMZ, the dispatcher revealed that Gordon had "black stuff coming out of his mouth and he is not breathing."

Walker Jr. poured out his grief on Facebook, posting family photos and writing, "I love you so much big brother I hope you heard me talking to you at your bedside you are with me and I can feel it I love you I love you I love you watch over me and your nieces shit wasn't suppose to go like this I talked to 6 hours before all this started you gave me my nickname Lil Wop and that Will forever be what I go by , you we're best friend and I never in a million years thought I'd be writing this for my ACE I was there through every step we all love you no matter what and we'll all stay strong for you , New Years didn't have to start like this and you just told me you HAD to see me for New Years but I'm blessed I got to talk to you last night you will forever be my best friend nobody will ever take your place."

Gordon was thought to have been single at the time of his death, having split with his on-again, off-again GF Lara Leal, who he had been accused of attacking, which led to arrests.
