“The Conners” star Sara Gilbert and musician Linda Perry have called it quits after five years of marriage.
On Friday, Gilbert filed for separation in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences, TMZ reports.
While the custody arrangement regarding son Rhodes, 4, is unknown, Gilbert requested that neither get spousal support.
Gilbert listed August 13 as the separation date. They made their last public appearance as a couple at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in June.
After news broke of their separation, Gilbert was spotted without her wedding ring in Los Angeles in photos obtained by People magazine.
Perry hasn’t publicly commented on the split, but revealed what she is focusing on right now. She wrote on Instagram on Sunday, “All I can focus on right now is this amazing and beautiful event We Are Hear @wah_music and @theartofelysium are producing Jan 4th.”
Earlier this year, Sara exited “The Talk” after nine years on the show. At the time, she explained that she wanted more time with her family, saying, “Last season, I did 'The Conners' and was also producing and (hosting) here. I loved it and felt totally empowered, but also, if I’m being honest about it, my life was slightly out of balance. I wasn’t able to spend as much time with my three kids as I’d like, or take time for myself.”
Sara and Linda started dating in 2011 and married three years later.
