Multiple sources have confirmed to Us Weekly that high-profile couple Channing Tatum and Jessie J called off their relationship "about a month ago," a year after they began seeing each other.
The actor and the singer started dating around August 2018, and news of their romance broke via Us two months later.
Channing, now 39, was spotted supporting Jessie, now 31, while she was on tour, which led to speculation. He frequently raved about her showmanship, once posting, "This woman just poured her heart out on stage at the Royal Albert Hall. Whoever was there got to witness something special. Wow." They eventually became even more open about their feelings, with Jessie posting a loving photo with Channing captioned, "Missing this cuddle machine."
Channing also referenced Jessie by her real name when posting a nude photo of himself (with just enough covered to dodge Instagram's censors) in May, explaining he had "lost a game of Jenga to Jessica Cornish," and the being forced to share the naked picture was his punishment.
Us's new report includes an assurance from a source who says that even post-breakup, "They are still really close and still good friends."
Meanwhile, Channing's ex-wife Jenna Dewan, 39, is expecting a child with actor Steve Kazee, 44. It will be her second child — after her daughter Everly, with Channing — and Kazee's first.
