Visit Anaheim is celebrating the completion of their multiyear Heart-to-Heart campaign by providing 30,000 Anaheim Union High School District students with American Heart Association CPR Training Kits.
Since heart disease is the leading cause of death in Orange County, the hope is that more lives will be saved in Anaheim and the county overall by offering CPR training to local students.
Actress Jennie Garth helped kick off the Heart-to-Heart campaign two years ago, which has now furnished all eight Anaheim Union high schools with lifesaving kits. These kits enable students to learn CPR within a single class period.
Visit Anaheim said it was happy give back to the community with this initiative, adding, “It’s a fundamental part of what we do as an organization.”
