Singer Nicole Scherzinger isn’t ruling out a Pussycat Dolls reunion!
“Extra’s” Jenn Lahmers caught up with Nicole, who promoted her hit FOX show, “The Masked Singer,” and opened up about her singing career. Nicole revealed that she is working on new music after rumors swirled she was reuniting with the Pussycat Dolls. She said, “I am recording always for many different projects. That’s part of my life… Music is my everything so I’ve been writing a lot. I’ve heard those rumors as well about the Dolls. I love my girls, I love my time with them on the road, I can’t confirm anything but I wouldn’t rule out a PCD reunion.”
The Pussycat Dolls broke up in 2009 after six years together.
“The Masked Singer” is a massive hit, beating “This Is Us” in the ratings. She shared, “That’s the word on the streets, guys, ‘This Is Us’ is a pretty big deal and we beat ‘This Is Us’!”
Nicole added, “We premiered last week and the ratings were off the charts, so I’m just over the moon to be a part of the show. It was our little engine that could. It was something completely out of left center and um you know America has embraced it it’s so unique its family fun for everyone… Last season was a success but this season is even better.”
What can fans expect for the second season? Scherzinger teased, “Well, I have a lot of favorite characters this season because we have a lot of real heavy hitters, really strong talent this season but one of my favorite costumes is the Butterfly because it’s so ornate and detailed, I really like the Ladybug."
“I think last year we had about 12 contestants and we have about 16 this year and a lot of talent, but this year we’ve got our sea legs and we have a reference point so everybody’s more competitive and knows what they’re doing," Nicole went on.
She poked fun at a fellow judge, saying, “Somehow Ken [Jeong] doesn’t... he knows a little less of what he's doing.”
“The Masked Singer” airs Wednesdays on FOX.
