Reality Star Bernie McGee Dead at 41

“Seeking Sister Wife” star Bernie McGee has passed away at the age of 41.

On Saturday, McGee died of heat stroke and a heart attack.

According to his wife, Paige, Bernie was out on a bike ride when he fell gravely ill. He was taken to St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi, where he later died.

A GoFundMe page was been created to help his family pay for funeral expenses. The page revealed, “Paige received a call from Bernie while he was riding his bicycle to let her know he wasn't feeling well. Paige immediately went to get him but by the time she reached him EMS had to tell her what no wife and mother is ever prepared to hear. Bernie passed away due to heat stroke/heart attack. Leaving Paige and his two younger boys in shock, disbelief and truly upset."

The page emphasized, “Bernie and Paige McGee loved each other and their children unconditionally. Always helping others even though they were fighting their own battles. After losing everything to a house fire they were just beginning to get everything back together again. Unfortunately they faced the worst sudden devastation that shocked many."

After Bernie’s sudden passing, Paige slammed her estranged brother Patrick Marble in a now-deleted post on Facebook. According to TMZ, Paige wrote, “Let me be very clear. Patrick Marble does not know a damn thing about my husband or him passing. All he knows is what he is reading on FB. I have not spoken to him for any reason and he damn well better not come to my house!”

Paige also accused Patrick of harassing and bullying her and Bernie. She claimed, “[He] has admitted numerous times he would not stop until we were fired from the show. Well, that never happened so he continued his bullying and harassment. Bernie has been under so much stress and the stress of going to court this coming Wednesday with fear of 1 year in jail wore on Bernie.”

“Bernie was so upset the day we were arrested because our sons had to watch us being taken away. Every night since then, Bernie has said over and over, the look on Johnny’s face. He just couldn’t get over that,” she continued about their March arrest after an alleged stalking incident involving Marble.

Paige went on to blame Patrick for Bernie’s death, saying, “Patrick Marble… YOU KILLED MY HUSBAND AND I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL… And you better stay the HELL away from me and my family.”

It is unclear what Patrick said to elicit the response from Paige, as both his post and Paige's have been removed.

Patrick hasn’t commented on her allegations, but told TMZ that he is dropping the stalking charges immediately, noting that he was trying to hash things out with Paige a few weeks ago. Paige told the outlet that she hasn’t had any relationship with her brother.

In a statement, the show's network, TLC, said, “Our hearts go out to the McGee family following the loss of husband and father Bernie McGee. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.”

Aside from Paige, Bernie leaves behind four sons — John, Kyle, David and Scott.

Earlier this year on Season 2 of "Seeking Sister Wife," Paige stressed her desire to expand their family. She said, “Unfortunately, I had a lot of complications with my youngest, Kyle, and they actually told me I miscarried. Since I can't have any more children, polygamy seems to be the best way for us to have more children in our family."
