Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. turned himself in to police today as he faces accusations of groping a woman over the weekend.
The Oscar winner has declared his innocence, telling TMZ on Tuesday that he is “absolutely not” guilty.
The 51-year-old was officially charged today with one count of misdemeanor forcible touching. The incident allegedly happened in a bar on Sunday night.
TMZ reports the alleged victim called 911 in the wee hours Monday morning claiming Gooding Jr. had touched her breast.
According to the site, Cuba’s attorney Mark Heller told reporters that he has reviewed more than two hours of footage from Sunday night and there is no evidence of a crime.
Yesterday, Gooding Jr. told TMZ something similar. He insisted, “I trust the process and the system. There's a tape that shows what really happened. That's the most important thing.”
