The pal explained to Us Weekly, “They're never going to get married because they think marriage is too mainstream. Joaquin transforms all his girlfriends into being holistic, vegan, spiritual, and into saving the world.”
Rooney and Joaquin met on the set of their 2013 film “Her.” At the time, she was dating director Charlie McDowell, who has since been linked to “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke.
Amid the engagement rumors, Rooney's sister Kate welcomed her first child with husband Jamie Bell. On Monday, Kate shared a glimpse of their bundle of joy on Instagram. She wrote, “We had a baby a couple weeks ago... Here are her feet 💕.”
