Jada Pinkett Smith on Why Pornography Can Be a ‘Huge Problem’ for Relationships

Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow, and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Jones never shy away from hot topics on their Facebook Watch series “Red Table Talk,” and this week they are talking about pornography and pornography addiction.

“Extra's” Renee Bargh sat down with the trio, and Jada explained why they wanted to tackle the issue this season.

Jada told Renee it isn't something we talk about enough. “It's such a huge problem today affecting a lot of people's relationships," she said. "Unfortunately, a lot of our children are growing up on it, right, so their perception of what sex is and what intimacy is, is kind of warped… it's affecting how people relate.”

Bargh asked Willow if there has ever been a situation in the house where the phrase "TMI" has been used, to which Willow replied, “Oh, yes.” Jada added, “Oh, it was used in this episode. We had a lot of TMI in this episode.” Willow called it “extreme,” adding, “I think this episode is important, too, because of this digital age that is upon us.”

How does Jada's husband Will Smith feel about the topics they cover on the show? “You know what? At this place in his life, and in my life, we've been through so much, and we feel like if we have something to offer that can help someone else we are so willing to share that.”

There is a good chance Smith will return to the table. Jada told Renee, “Oh, I'm sure, yeah… You know, you know he will.”
