Wendy Madison Bauer is speaking out in the wake of her fiancé Luke Perry’s tragic death.
Bauer and Perry were together for nearly 12 years, but kept their relationship private.
She opened up to People over the weekend, saying, “I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support. The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.”
The 44-year-old continued, “The past 11 1/2 years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him. I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”
Perry was married to Rachel Sharp from 1993 to 2003. They had two children together; Jack, 21, and Sophie, 18.
Luke, who was best known for his roles in “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Riverdale,” died last Monday after suffering a massive stroke. He was 52.
