Cardi B is ready for the Super Bowl!
“Extra’s” AJ Calloway was with the rapper, who dished on the big game in Atlanta, where she shares a home with Offset.
Cardi, who recently reconciled with her husband, said, “It’s pretty cool, this is not my actual home, I'm a New Yorker, but all my peoples are from Atlanta… my husband… they all very excited, it’s like a big holiday out here!”
Regarding the reconciliation, she said, “We’re working things out… work in progress.”
The superstar just signed a deal for a Las Vegas residency at The Palms, saying, “Everybody is making it such a big deal, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m scared… I always get scared if I haven’t experienced something first.” She added, “I’m excited, it’s a fun, good city, different people every day, and they are gonna come see meeeeeeee.”
Cardi is making her voice heard, taking on social media to give her political views, and recently spoke out about the government shutdown. She explained she didn’t realize it would create such a reaction. “People are saying, ‘All of a sudden she thinks she is so smart.’ This isn’t about being smart, this is something... you can watch the news and you can understand.”
The 26-year-old was invited to speak to at a Democratic Party reception in Iowa during a tour stop in May. “That would really scare me, but I wouldn’t mind. I will talk just how I talk… if I could talk about what’s going on in America with a little entertainment, why not?”
Cardi told AJ, “Do you know that America's reading level is on a 4th-grade level? Politicians... they use these big fancy words, people don’t know what they saying. I’m gonna break it down.”
The “Money” rapper is not interested in running for office. “I think it worked for Trump 'cause he has a lot of money, so I think that’s why it worked out for him, not 'cause he has experience.”
Taking on the border wall, she said, “You all need to understand that your President is ruining your country that you love, but you so blinded by your racist mind, you don’t see.”
On what happened to “Empire” star Jussie Smollett, Cardi said, “It’s crazy, and you want to know something – these are things that happen every single day.”
