Shawn Booth Breaks Silence on Broken Engagement with Kaitlyn Bristowe

Days after the news of his split from “The Bachelorette” alum Kaitlyn Bristowe, Shawn Booth is talking about the breakup.

On Monday, Booth wrote on Instagram, “I just want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my relationship with Kaitlyn over the years. You've made me feel incredibly special, supported, and very loved. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. It truly means a lot. And thank you to everyone who has sent their love & support during this painful time. I love you guys.”

Last week, Chris Harrison revealed that the pair were “struggling privately” before ending their engagement. He told “Extra's” Mario Lopez, “I was kind of like a counselor off-air talking to her and trying to help them cause they were really fighting for it, trying to make it work, and then eventually they just had to come to the inevitable conclusion it's not going to work and go their separate ways.”

Split rumors were swirling for months before they released a joint statement revealing they were going their “separate ways.” A source told Us Weekly that Booth was “definitely talking to a bunch of chicks” at a fitness retreat in October, adding, “He definitely didn't seem like he was engaged.”
