Reality Star Kenya Moore Welcomes First Child at 47

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore is a first-time mom!
On Sunday, Moore and husband Marc Daly welcomed a baby girl, who they named Brooklyn. She told People magazine, “Brooklyn because that's where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me.”
A day before giving birth, the 47-year-old posted an Instagram pic of herself in her hospital bed, writing, “If you want to make God laugh have a plan... won't be long now. Pray for us 🙏🏾 #babydaly #weloveyou #prayers.”

The baby's arrival comes just weeks after she tested postive for preclampsia. She shared, “Brooklyn is very alert and active.”
The pregnancy complication caused her to gain “17 lbs. in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine.”
“This is NOT normal,” Moore shared on Instagram. “Baby is fine but if [test] come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day.”
In April, Kenya announced the pregnancy news on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta's” Season 10 reunion episode.
