Medical Medium Anthony William Believes There Is a Connection Between Weight Gain and the Liver

Anthony William is the New York Times best-selling author who's been using what he says is his gift to help others recover their health.

William is a medical medium who uses a spirit guide to help doctors figure out people's health problems. For 20 years, he's been helping people recover from illnesses they didn't know they had, with celebrity fans like Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert De Niro and Naomi Campbell.

Now, he's launching a new book called “Liver Rescue,” and he's telling “Extra's” Renee Bargh all about the liver and how he believes it is related to weight gain.

He explained, “When you're helping the liver, you're really changing what's happening inside the body.”

William claims that cleansing the liver can help with many ailments, such as “eczema, psoriasis, diabetes, gout, acne, high blood pressure… and this is just a handful.”

The medical medium said readers should look out for liver troublemakers.

“Troublemakers are toxins that are inside people's livers,” he said. “Colognes, perfumes, air fresheners, aerosols all end up in the liver. Makeup, cosmetics, all end up in the liver. The liver gets overburdened and it gets taxed, and it starts to weaken and get sluggish.”

He ties a sluggish liver to weight gain. He said of people struggling with shedding the pounds, “They think it's metabolism, and why do you have slow metabolism? Because your liver is not functioning good because it's stagnant and it's sluggish, and this is a huge piece of it all.”

Anthony added, “Taking care of the liver, I see people lose weight.”

William offers a liver cleanse in his book and says, “It's not just about stopping alcohol. It's about eating better… there's a cleanse in the book called 3-6-9. It's an easy one to do. Three days, another three days, another three days, and then you've got it.”
