Rihanna Talks Model Who Went Into Labor at NYFW Show, Plus: Her Philosophy on Charity Work
It was a big night for Rihanna as she hosted the annual Diamond Ball, which benefited her Clara Lionel Foundation.
“Extra's” AJ Calloway caught up with RiRi, who stunned in a sheer, lace Alexis Mabille Haute Couture jumpsuit covered in a massive bow ball skirt. Of her look, she said, “Ohhh, it's like a pantsuit inside with a gown bow on top and it's genius.”
The 30-year-old was dripping in Chopard diamonds, pointing out they were “all borrowed, of course.” While showing off her earrings, she exclaimed, “See that, see that!”
The hitmaker was all over Fashion Week, debuting her lingerie line with a runway show. Rihanna used an array of models o different sizes and ethnicities, sharing, “It definitely was such a special experience to see that… Such a powerful celebration of women and womanhood.”
Some of the models were pregnant, including one who went into labor and gave birth soon after the show, according to TMZ. She confirmed, “Yes! One of the pregnant models went into labor!”
Rihanna also noted that she'll be releasing new music soon.
As for the success of her charity work, Rihanna commented it makes her feel “excited, humble, and grateful, 'cause there is so much we want to achieve and we need all hands on deck to do all that, and I appreciate all the support… Even if it's a dollar, give what you can, do what you can.”
What do the fundraising efforts benefit? RiRi said, “We support everything from global education to health care, emergency-response programs all over the world.”
