Hours after his shocking death, his girlfriend Asia Argento released a statement.
Argento tweeted, “Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine."
One day before his suicide, Argento posted a cryptic photo of herself wearing a shirt that read, “F**k everyone.” She captioned the now-deleted Instagram Story, “You know who you are.”
TMZ reports that Anthony was in France shooting his CNN show “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown” for the past few days while Argento was spending time in Rome with a French reporter. She was reportedly spotted holding hands and hugging the reporter, but the photos have been pulled in the wake of Bourdain’s death. It is unknown if Asia and Anthony had ended their relationship.
Just last week, Bourdain and Argento were spending time together in Italy.
He also posted an Instagram, which also featured Asia in Japan.
The two had been dating since 2017.
