Following a gruesome accident in November that left with with upward of 40 stitches, Carrie Underwood took her time revealing her face, even warning fans ahead of her ACM Awards performance that she might look "different."
When it was all over, everyone seemed to agree she looked like the same ol' Carrie — a knockout.
Now, Underwood is getting even braver, sharing a true close-up of her face, which shows the scars on her upper lip and her chin.
The scars are barely perceptible, something she seems to be realizing as she becomes less and less reticent to be photographed — and to photograph herself!
