Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were the perfect couple to many, but they have called it quits after nearly nine years of marriage.
While they seemed in love with each other on the red carpet, the pair was reportedly “fighting” for a while. A source told Page Six, “He was turning down jobs because of her, and they were fighting a lot. He has been filming the ‘Lego Movie’ sequel and has at least four other acting projects in development, and that isn’t even his focus. He’s moving toward producing and directing.”
“Jenna always said they had to put work into their marriage to keep it alive, and while Channing is a great dad to their daughter, [Jenna] felt like he stopped wanting to work as hard on them as a married couple,” the insider went on. “This has been a long time coming. They fell out of love.”
Three years ago, Channing admitted that he struggled to balance his career and family. He told People magazine, “I’m lucky to have people that care enough to make sure I’m not screwing things up.”
At the time, Channing shared some insight on his relationship with Jenna, saying, “We started together and that’s your responsibility in a relationship, to not lose it. You keep pushing each other to grow and be better.”
After their separation, reps knocked down cheating rumors, telling Gossip Cop that the allegations are “absolutely untrue and completely ridiculous.”
