Actress Elizabeth Hurley's 21-year-old nephew, Miles Hurley, was knifed multiple times on a London street Thursday.
People magazine reports the young model was discovered by police after a call was placed at 8:52 p.m. Thursday reporting a stabbing. He was with another guy around his age, and both had been stabbed, with all of Hurley's wounds on his back.
Police have reassured family members and the public that their conditions are "not life-threatening or life-changing."
It is believed the men were attacked by a group of men who jumped from a vehicle, assaulted them, and took off. The investigation is ongoing.
Elizabeth, who has been filming and promoting her series "The Royals," was seen arriving at Heathrow Airport the following day, probably to visit Miles as he recuperates.
Miles has described himself as being "really close" to his famous aunt.
Hurley responded to the attack via Instagram, writing that he was "brutally attacked by four men," lost "four pints of blood," and that the deepest wound almost severed his spine!
My 21 year old nephew @mileshurley1 was brutally attacked by four men in London on Thursday night. He was repeatedly stabbed and lost more than four pints of blood. A policeman was patrolling close by and administered first aid until the ambulance arrived. The deepest wound just missed severing his spine. By some miracle no vital organs were damaged. We are praying that these animals are caught before they maim, or even kill, someone else. These are sad days.
