Why Margot Robbie Doesn’t Wear Her Wedding Ring Every Day, Plus: How She Ruined Thanksgiving Dish
On Monday night, actress Margot Robbie was shining in a black Saint Laurent dress on the red carpet of the Gotham Awards.
The Australian beauty spoke with “Extra's” AJ Calloway at the star-studded event, where she cleared up recent comments she made about her wedding ring. In Australian Vogue, she revealed that she only wears the sparkler on weekends. She told AJ, “Everyone's freaking out over that. When I'm at work, you can't wear a wedding ring in costume. If your character's not married, it's gonna look really weird if you have a wedding ring on. There is nothing more to it — I simply cannot wear it when I am in costume.”
The “I, Tonya” star revealed that she had Thanksgiving off, but the holiday did not go quite as planned! Robbie explained, “I tried to cook yams but I lit it on fire. The marshmallows, that's what got me. It was like a birthday cake with kerosene.”
“I'm Australian. We don't do Thanksgiving,” the 27-year-old pointed out.
Margot's learning, though, after putting her marshmallows on broil. She commented, “You would refer to broil as grill; broil sounds like boil to me which sounds like bake, so I thought it would be fine.”
