The publication's Instagram shared three snaps of the beaming couple, including one of Serena in her eye-popping Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown:
Vogue also shared two snaps of the couple at their reception, including one showing Serena in a beaded, feathered Versace number she changed into from her wedding dress.
After tying the knot with @alexisohanian last night, @serenawilliams debuted her second dress of the evening, a dramatic beaded, feathered @versace_official moment that made her look like a fashion-forward superwoman. “You are the greatest of all time, not just in sport. I’m talking about as a mother, and as a wife. I am so excited to write so many more chapters of our fairy tale together.” Congratulations to @serenawilliams and @alexisohanian, who exchanged vows last night. Vogue's Alexandra Macon wrote of the dress in which Serena was wed:
"...Serena’s dress search was the stuff wedding dreams are made of — she worked with Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. 'I flew to London to meet with Sarah and ended up falling in love with the ball gown silhouette, which is completely the opposite of what I ever thought I would choose for myself,' Serena says. 'I loved the idea of doing a really spectacular ball gown, and it has turned out to be such an incredibly special piece.'"
Guests who were fortunate enough to witness the vows in person included Vogue's legendary EIC Anna Wintour; Beyoncé and her mother, Tina Knowles; Kelly Rowland; Kim Kardashian; Ciara; and La La Anthony. Attendees were treated to a unique wedding favor... a bottle of Cooper & Thief’s bourbon-barrel aged red wine.
