Over the weekend, “Extra’s” Tanika Ray caught up “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson as she hosted her “White Hot Holidays” Christmas special.
Henson shared her thoughts on the sexual harassment claims sweeping Hollywood, making it clear it is everywhere! She said, “I think the more we have dialogue, the more we make each other as women feel comfortable and confident about speaking up then that's when you will see change. You will never change if you are living in shame.”
As an example, she said, “Just because you wanted to be pretty today doesn’t mean someone should objectify you," emphasizing, "If you see something, say something.”
Fans are definitely seeing an evolution for Cookie on “Empire.” Taraji dished, “Well, she's finally gotten what she's asked for. She wanted her Empire and she has it… You're gonna see the pushback because she's a woman. But you know you can't keep a good woman, a good strong Cookie down.”
Henson was joined by some famous friends, including Salt-N-Pepa and Chaka Kahn, for her annual holiday special, but admitted the pressure is on. She pointed out, “[The program is] more special to me because this is my show… It says 'Taraji's White Hot Holidays.' We are coming to see you… So the pressure is a little different on this one.”
Watch "Taraji's White Hot Holidays" at 8 p.m. on Dec. 14 on FOX.
