Country Star Brantley Gilbert Welcomes a Son!
Country singer Brantley Gilbert and his wife Amber have announced the birth of their first child, a son named Barrett Hardy-Clay Gilbert, People magazine confirms.
Little Barrett was born Saturday, November 11, at 1:37 p.m., weighing in at 6 lbs. 7 oz. and measuring 20 inches.
Telling People that watching the birth, in Athens Georgia, left him "speechless," Gilbert said, "I don't even know what to say. Amber and I are just so thankful and blessed to have this beautiful little boy... The nurse said, 'You're ready.' It was 30 minutes, and we had Barrett. And I have no words, beyond it's even more than I could've ever imagined."
Their son's hyphenated middle name pays tribute to Gilbert's grandfather's middle name and Amber's father.
