Chester Bennington, the Linkin Park frontman who hanged himself in his new home July 20, was laid to rest Sunday in a private funeral near Palos Verdes, California, TMZ reports.
Approximately 200 mourners attended the service, held at South Coast Botanic Garden, including many musicians who had worked with the late singer. Musical tributes were performed from a stage set up for that purpose.
The family had decided against a large, public memorial, and security was tight. TMZ reports attendees had wrist bands and passes, just like at rock concerts.
