Mariah Carey & Bryan Tanaka Reportedly Split — What Happened?
Singer Mariah Carey and backup dancer Bryan Tanaka have reportedly called it quits!
After five months of dating, the two are said to have pulled the plug due to his jealousy of Mariah's ex-husband Nick Cannon, and her decision to stop feeding Tanaka's spending habits, according to TMZ.
A source told the website that Bryan felt “disrespected” by Mariah at the Kids' Choice Awards, which she attended with Cannon and their twins Moroccan and Monroe. Bryan also allegedly flirted with other women in Mariah's presence to retaliate against her close relationship with Nick.
Mariah and Bryan reportedly haven't spoken to each other since their Cabo vacation in March.
A few days ago, Bryan posted a cryptic Instagram, writing, "Remind yourself to keep ya head up and lead with love. #TanakaVibes #MuchLove.”
With split rumors swirling, Carey has signed a new deal with Epic Records and is set to release a new album “later this year.” In a statement, Mariah said, "I am putting my heart and soul into making more new music. I am so thrilled for this next chapter and to continue working with, and for, everyone that I love.”
