MLB legend Alex Rodriguez broke his silence on his romance with Jennifer Lopez on today’s episode of “The View.”
After making a grand entrance on the show, Rodriguez was immediately put on the hot seat about his new lady love, J.Lo. He said, "It’s obvious we’ve been having a good time.”
When Joy Behar asked if people should start calling them J-Rod, he responded, "She is an amazing girl, one of the smartest human beings I’ve ever met, and an incredible mother.”
As for some interesting tidbits that people may not know about her, Alex revealed, "She was a track star… an awesome athlete… she likes simple things… she is a great daughter, a great sister…"
Of her guilty pleasures, he said, “Oh, boy — she’s going to kill me if I say too much. She eats chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate chip cookies.”
During his appearance on the show, he also emphasized the importance of communication in a relationship while commenting on Vice President Mike Pence’s decision not to have dinner alone with any woman aside from his wife. The 41-year-old encouraged having "crystal-clear communications and you set the parameters and say, ‘Here's what I'm going to do, and here's when I'm getting home.'”
"I would say, ‘We're going to have dinner at Houston's from 7:00 to 9:00,’” Alex said, regarding the idea of having dinner with another woman. "Complete transparency. Let her have it. Dump it on her and say, 'I'll call you when I get home.’ She should know everything first."
