Shailene Woodley was arrested in Sioux County, North Dakota, on Monday.
The “Divergent” star was peacefully protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline when she was taken into custody for allegedly trespassing on a construction site along with several others, according to TMZ.
Previously, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe tried to halt the pipeline over fears the project would destroy sacred sites, but a federal appeals court rejected the request on Sunday, reports NBC News.
