Blake Lively Reveals Plans for Time Off After 'Café Society' Press Tour
It's been a busy summer for Blake Lively. Fresh from promoting her summer thriller, “The Shallows,” Blake was back on the red carpet last night for the premiere of her newest film, “Café Society,” where she chatted with “Extra's” AJ Calloway.
The 28-year-old, who is expecting her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds, looked fabulous a Carolina Herrera dress and sky-high Louboutins. After AJ complimented Blake on her stunning look, she was a remarked on his manscaping skills, saying, “You do too, you have this, like, buzzed chest.” When AJ asked, “Is that okay? is that good?” Blake answered, “Yeah, why not? Why not?”
Blake is ready for some time off after promoting her new movies. “I had 'The Shallows' a few weeks ago and now this. It's been a nutty few weeks, but yeah, I get some free time now.” She joked, “I'm going to see 'The Shallows' and 'Café Society' every night as you all should, obvs, right?” Watch!
Lively plays the role of a 1930s New York socialite in Woody Allen's “Café Society,” and admitted that working with the famed director was intimidating at first. “I mean, you've got an amazing ensemble and a lot of people around you, a lot of people that have worked with him before, he's so loose, so encouraging. He encourages you to improvise, which is scary, and he really creates that environment that is… it's not intimidating once you do it, but all of the psyching up.”
Blake worked with some other big Hollywood names on the movie. Of the camaraderie on set, she shared, “We're so lucky. I got to work with Jesse Eisenberg mostly, and Parker Posey, who's just great, and I never got to work with Kristen (Stewart), but she was so great. Every day I'd see her in the trailer, 'cause she started a few weeks before me. She was very sweet and encouraging, you know.”
