In the latest sad twist to the story of pop legend Prince's death, Us magazine reports Prince's body may have gone unnoticed for up to six hours.
When Prince was found unresponsive in the elevator at his Paisley Park compound, 911 was called immediately, but a paramedic has told the Minneapolis Star Tribute that the singer was long dead by the time of the discovery.
According to new information, Prince had become "increasingly agitated" in the days following a reported drug overdose, to the point where a staffer called someone in New York on April 20 seeking help on how to calm him down. Prince received an "intravenous treatment," but still wound up dead on April 21.
Most ironically of all, one of the people who found Prince's body was Andrew Kornfeld, an emissary (and the son) of Dr. Howard Kornfeld, a doctor who was about to work on getting Prince off drugs for good.
On tonight's Billboard Music Awards, Madonna will pay tribute to her fallen peer and former boyfriend.
