Over the weekend, Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid sparked reconciliation rumors after they were spotted shopping and grabbing lunch with her daughter Coco on Easter Sunday in Malibu.
The two were seen for the first time since they called off their engagement in December. During the outing, McDaid was snapped opening the car door for Cox, who was not wearing her engagement ring.
Cox's rep told People about the current status of the relationship, "They really care about each other and they are spending time together.”
When the two split after their 17-month engagement, rumors swirled on why they went their separate ways. One source told Page Six, "He’s actually the one who instigated the breakup. Johnny feels she’s a little too close for comfort with her male co-stars. He doesn’t like the fact that she’s close to them, that she stays in touch with them, [because] she has this past of falling in love with people she works with. He feels very uncomfortable.”
Though the two were “not on speaking terms” for a while, it appears they have been able to work through the problems and spend Easter together.
