Rory Feek Shares a Picture and Stories from 'Special Week' with Joey
As country singer Joey Feek lies, fighting for her life against cancer, she continues to receive the love and support of husband Rory.
People reports that Rory has blogged about "a week to remember" with Joey, which included a special Valentine's Day and their daughter Indiana's second birthday.
"There have been big parties for little people and small losses with great lessons…and we even had a romantic night filled with more love for each other than we even thought was possible. But mostly, this has been a week filled with thankfulness," he wrote.
For Valentine's Day, Rory and Indiana surprised Joey with her favorite meal — sushi — and Joey's sisters helped her put on makeup and dress "pretty" for Rory. Most amazingly, Rory was able to lie in bed with his arms around Joey for the first time since the beginning of November.
Rory wrote that "for one sweet half-an-hour... that changed on Valentine's Day."
After Valentine's Day, the family was able to celebrate Indiana's second birthday, which included their daughter covering herself with chocolate cake. Joey was able to be a part of the festivities the their home.
