Melissa Rivers Opens Up on Playing Mom Joan in ‘Joy'
Melissa Rivers recently sat down with “Extra's” Mario Lopez at Universal Studios Hollywood, where she chatted about playing her legendary mom Joan in Jennifer Lawrence's new film “Joy.”
Melissa shared, "It was an amazing experience. First of all, to get to work with Jennifer and Bradley [Cooper] and David O. Russell. I thought if I'm gonna do it, this is the group to do it with.”

Despite Joan's passing last year, Melissa is still feeling her presence while working on “Fashion Police.” Melissa revealed, “I hear my mother's voice in my head, which is, 'We are simply saying what everyone is saying at home, we're just saying it on TV.'"
Melissa is promoting the new season of “Fashion Police,” which will kick off on January 11 at 8p ET/PT to coincide with the 2016 Golden Globes.
