Blake Shelton Is Ready For ‘Awkward’ Jokes About His Miranda Lambert Split at CMAs
Last night on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Blake Shelton chatted about potential uncomfortable jokes at the upcoming CMA Awards.
Shelton explained, "This year's gonna be awkward at the CMAs, speaking of jokes, because we are — it's such a family. Everybody there is friends. There's gotta be one about me and Miranda."
He added, "[Host] Brad Paisley is not doing his job if he doesn't look down there and go 'Ha ha!' You have to address the elephant in the room. We've had the conversations like, 'Okay, dude. I'll sit there and let you kick me in the face a few times.' I know it's coming." Watch!
The CMAs air on Wednesday, November 4, on ABC. Blake and Miranda will make an appearance at the star-studded ceremony as single people — they have attended the show together since 2007.
