These may be the final photos of Jim Carrey and ex-girlfriend Cathriona White before she tragically took her own life.
The pictures were taken September 19 during a romantic oceanside dinner at Nobu in Malibu that was said to be a belated birthday celebration for the Irish beauty.
In one photo, Carrey looks off into the sunset. In others, the two are seen leaning across a table to share a kiss, and embracing as a candle is slowly dimming.
Cathriona shared photos from the date on Instagram, including a menu and one of the dishes. They were two of the final pics on her account, posted just days before she died of an apparent suicide in her Sherman Oaks home.
The coroner confirmed to Us Weekly on Wednesday that pills were found near her body, as well as a note mentioning Carrey.
The couple, who reportedly split on September 24, had been spending a lot of time together.
In photos obtained by Daily Mail, the two were seen having a conversation during a date night at Kayne Griffin Corcoran Gallery, which was holding an opening reception for a new installation by artist Aaron Sandnes.
White's close friend Judd Weiss opened up about Cathriona's relationship with Carrey to People. He said, "The last time I saw her in May, she had just gotten back from New York with Jim Carrey and she was happy about it." That was around the same time that Carrey and White reportedly rekindled their relationship.
The real estate agent added, "She's not the type of person to brag. Maybe it was because she was wondering how long-term this is and maybe she didn't want to say anything until she thought it was more secure, and maybe now she felt that way. I could only guess."
"In fact, very few people knew she was dating Jim Carrey. Every once in a while, someone would ask me, 'Is it true that Cat is dating Jim Carrey?' and I wouldn't even give a straight answer because it seemed like she just didn't want anyone to talk about it, so only her close friends even knew," Weiss continued.
Even though Weiss was a close friend of White, he still didn’t understand her decision to end her life. "From a logical point of view, it makes zero sense, but she's also a very quiet and reserved person, so I guess – she's not very expressive, so I don't really know exactly what's going on in her head."
