Exclusive! Designer Brandon Maxwell Gets a Helping Hand from BFF Lady Gaga Backstage at NYFW
"Extra" caught up with Lady Gaga backstage at her stylist and BFF Brandon Maxwell's first New York Fashion Week show.
When asked how proud she is of Maxwell, Gaga revealed that she was "…kind of really speechless…and this is a completely surreal moment for us."
Gaga also shared that Maxwell is a relaxed designer. "He was so prepared and focused, but he also went to the dentist today." She added, "He had his teeth cleaned before his show!"

Part of the reason Maxwell was so relaxed is that Gaga was helping behind the scenes. "She's extremely hands-on… Doing the lighting and the music, all the things she's a genius at, she's somewhere in here with a T-shirt with my name on it running around screaming at someone."
Gaga said she's been helping by "cutting, cleaning everything up. Just making sure he has everything he needs to execute his vision."
