Emma Bunton has crushed our dreams by denying that a Spice Girls reunion is in the works.
During her radio show on Friday, she said, "Nothing's happening at the moment. If anything happens and it's concrete, and we decide on something, I will let you know."
On the same day, Emma's former bandmate Mel B teased fans by tweeting, "Woke up this morning wondering whether I need to start practising my backflips???!!!" Bunton responded to the tweet by saying, "Do I need to put my pigtails in?!?!?"
Last week, Mel B sparked hopes of a reunion when she told the "Today" show, "When you say it's our 20th anniversary coming up, it does make you think, 'Oh, my gosh, it really has been that long? Hopefully, we'll gather the troops around, and we'll get to do something to celebrate it next year. It's in my plan, I don't know about anybody else's."
The last time the Spice Girls reunited was for the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in London.
