Fun and Flirty for Summer! Try the Waterfall Braid Remix with Help from SheaMoisture
“Extra” special correspondent Adrienne Bailon stopped by the SheaMoisture Pop-Up Studio at the Essence Festival in New Orleans to get some tips for the hottest 'do of the summer!
Celebrity stylist David Lopez gave Adrienne step-by-step instructions on how to create the Waterfall Remix Braid with help from SheaMoisture products. Watch!
-After cleaning and conditioning, apply SheaMoisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie for definition and shine. Allow hair to air dry or use a diffuser to dry hair.
- Create a center part, and begin a waterfall braid. This plait is a modified French braid, where you let one section drop down as you move along.
- Finish off each waterfall braid with a regular three-strand plait. Secure with clear elastic. These two ends will crisscross in the back to come around to the front.
- Fold the ends of each braid under and secure with a bobby pin near the temples. The second braid should sit just under the waterfall detail.
- Finish the look by detailing large sections of hair with the SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex Serum. Emulsify three to four drops in the palm of your hands and gently smooth over large sections of hair for added definition and shine.
To easily turn this into an evening look, simply unpin the braids and wrap around the entirety of your hair to create a sleek, low pony.
