In an exclusive People interview, Hank admits he “messed up,” but claims he never cheated.
The former NFL player says the whole ordeal was a drug deal gone wrong.
Hank told the mag that he saw a couple smoking pot in a grocery store parking lot and asked if he could buy some. They gave him a phone number instead, and when he called he was given an address.
Baskett went to the house and a transgender woman answered the door. At one point, Hank went into the restroom, and when he came out, the woman was nude and making out with another transgender woman. He says he “froze,” and that the first woman came over and fondled him through his shorts.
"I didn't engage in anything," he insisted. "It was like a bank robbery. You never know when you'll freeze. I don't know if it was a couple of seconds or 15 seconds, because all I was saying was get out, get out, get out."
He says he was humiliated and distraught by the incident and didn't tell anyone. When the news broke two months later, Kendra “went ballistic” and kicked him out.
Now, she supports him. She told People, "Hank was very naïve and gullible. He thinks everybody is his friend. That led him to the hell that we've lived.”
