Angelina Reveals She Was Already Married to Brad When They Wed in France!
As if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's wedding in France wasn't surprise enough, it turns out the couple had already married in a secret ceremony in the US!
Angelina revealed the news to Italy's Io Donna magazine, explaining, "Before the wedding in France with the kids, Brad and I were already married in California. As Americans, we couldn't marry legally in France."
The no-fuss ceremony went something like this, "One day I said to Brad, 'Let's meet up at 4:30 pm?' I called a justice of the peace and we signed the documents."
The same judge performed their nondenominational wedding at Chateau Miraval in August.
Angelina did not reveal when the first ceremony took place, but a source told Us Weekly in March 2014 that the two were already hitched. "Every time I ask, she says she is already married," the insider said.
