Julia Roberts' Half-Sister Dies of Apparent Drug Overdose at 37
Nancy Motes, half sister of Julia Roberts, has died of an apparent drug overdose, her family told People in a statement. She was 37.
"It is with deep sadness that the family of Nancy Motes ... confirms that she was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday of an apparent drug overdose," the statement said. "There is no official report from the Coroner's office yet. The family is both shocked and devastated."
Motes was the youngest sibling of Julia and brother Eric Roberts, and the aunt of actress Emma Roberts. According to the Daily Mail, Nancy worked as a production assistant on the hit show "Glee," and was planning to marry fiancé John Dilbeck in May.
