The biggest names in television strolled the red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards on Sunday with red hot dresses and ethereal, understated gowns emerging as this year's trends.

Among the beauties in red were Sofia Vergara, who sizzled in a lacy Vera Wang gown with a trumpet skirt, and Kaley Cuoco in a flowing burgundy Vera gown.

Heidi Klum chose an embellished pomegranate Versace number with a halter neck, while Morena Baccarin looked radiant in a ruby dress that showed off her baby bump.

Carrie Underwood made an impression in purple, while Anna Faris brought the sunshine in yellow and Mayim Bialik was enviable in green.

Stars like Claire Danes opted for understated elegance. The “Homeland” actress looked stunning in a nude Armani Prive gown with a plunging neckline.

Kerry Washington also went the ethereal route, strolling the red carpet in a Marchesa gown she loved at New York Fashion Week. The cream and white look featured flower appliques and a long train.
