Watch live streaming video of the O.J. Simpson trial! The former football star, 65, was called to testify in Las Vegas on Wednesday after he requested a new trial in his armed-robbery case from 2007.
Simpson, who was acquitted of the murders of his ex wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman in 1995, is serving a sentence of up to 33 years for stealing thousands of dollars worth of memorabilia at gunpoint from sports collectors at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino.
At the time, his defense claimed he was trying to retrieve his own stolen goods, but he was found guilty on 12 charges, including armed robbery and kidnapping.
Now, Simpson's attorneys hope to prove a conflict of interest, because his trial lawyer, Yale Galanter, allegedly knew ahead of time that O.J. planned to confront the sports dealers. O.J. also claims that he was unaware of an offered plea deal.
