Casey Anthony Files for Bankruptcy, Owes $800K
Casey Anthony, who has kept a low profile since being acquitted of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter in 2011, filed for bankruptcy in Florida on Friday, reports TMZ.
Anthony, who also had two convictions for lying to authorities overturned on Friday, said she owes almost $800,000 to about 80 creditors, including the IRS, the Orange County Sheriff's Office, and her defense attorney, Jose Baez.
The 26-year-old completed her one-year probation for check fraud in August and has resurfaced a few times over the past year, via a leaked video diary and in a telephone conversation with Piers Morgan.
