First Lady of Fashion! Michelle Obama's Inauguration Day Style
Michelle Obama was perfectly elegant at the Inauguration on Monday, when she stepped out — sporting her stylish new bangs — in a blue checked coat and A-line panel-pleat dress by Thom Browne, J. Crew belt, gloves and kitten-heeled shoes (she later changed into Reed Krakoff boots) and Cathy Waterman necklace.
The designer ensemble was fashioned after a silk jacquard necktie fabric and was custom made for Mrs. O, reports New York Times' Eric Wilson.
Although Michelle likes to repeat outfits, don't expect to see her in this one again. The First Lady's office told Reuters, "At the end of the inaugural festivities, the outfit and accompanying accessories will go to the National Archives.”

Daughters Malia and Sasha looked picture-perfect too. Malia wore a pink, J. Crew coat with purple tights and flats, while Sasha chose a periwinkle Kate Spade coat, with purplish tights and a statement necklace, according to the Huffington Post.
