Reese Witherspoon: Hi from Ojai

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon graces the September cover of Elle Décor magazine, giving a tour of her historic Wallace Neff ranch in Ojai, California.
The property sits on seven acres that include a swimming pool, a barn, a horse paddock and guest cottages. Originally built in 1923 as stables for Edward Drummond Libbey, who made his fortune in glassware, the hacienda is one of the earliest works by Neff, best known as the designer of Pickfair, the 42-room mansion of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks (which was razed in 1990 by Pia Zadora).

The preservation-minded Witherspoon explained, “When you buy a beautiful piece of art, you don't really own it. You're just the caretaker.”
