Julie Bowen on Claire Dunphy's Dream Affair
"Modern Family's" Julie Bowen revealed who she would pick the person with whom her "Modern Family" character, Claire Dunphy, would have an affair. "Stephen Colbert, bar none," she said without hesitation.
Bowen, who won the Emmy for Outstanding Actress as Claire on the hit ABC show, has three kids of her own, all under the age of five. "I have a 4-year-old and twin 2-year-olds. I will literally hire anyone who isn't actively committing a crime to take care of my children."
Julie revealed that her son accidentally broke her Emmy trophy, and hopes the TV Academy somehow doesn't ask for it back. "I'm still waiting every time the doorbell rings for someone to show up and go, 'Um, there's been a miscount. We need it back.'"
The actress, who actively supports The National Breast Cancer Coalition, hosted a benefit last month, and said, "I don't know anyone who hasn't been touched by breast cancer, either directly or... we all know someone. It's time to end this."
